SHIRT VARIATION - This package contains patterns and instructions for the Tabula Rasa Jacket Shirt Variations in sizes XS–3XL. Pattern pieces include a template to transform your basic jacket pattern into a button up shirt or shirt jacket, patterns for a spread and stand-up collar, facings, linings, and a curved cuff to complement the stand-up collar. This package does not include patterns for the jacket front, back or sleeve; please refer to your original Tabula Rasa Jacket pattern for those pieces and for size information.
SWING SIDE VARIATION - This package contains patterns and instructions for adding Swing Variations to the Tabula Rasa Jacket and for making a Swing Vest. Pattern pieces include an asymmetrical swing side to substitute for the original flared or straight side, a swing cuff, templates to create a curved front and back hemline for the swing side, and a template for creating a single-layer bias band. Includes all sizes, XS-3XL.
Please note: This product does not include all patterns needed for a full jacket; refer to the original Tabula Rasa Jacket pattern for the front, back and sleeve pattern pieces and for size information.
The instruction book also contains extensive information and tips for sewing with the drapey and sheer fabrics that are most suited to the swing jacket or vest; these fabrics can be challenging to work with and require special seam and hem finishes. Suggested fabrics include softly draping woven fabrics such as sheer or opaque silks (crepe de chine, jacquard, twill, charmeuse, chiffon or georgette), rayon, tencel, bamboo or wool challis, fine cotton lawn, lace and velvet. An original Tabula Rasa Jacket with a straight or flared side can also be made with stiffer sheers, such as organza, cotton organdy, silk gazaar, and nylon netting.

This product includes instructions, patterns and templates for multiple band variations and pockets for the Tabula Rasa Jacket. Change up the look of your jacket with any of these new band styles, or learn how to change the width of the original band or add piping and a contrast facing. Includes all sizes, XS-3XL

SLEEVE & CUFF - This product includes patterns and illustrated instructions for several sleeve and cuff variations for the Tabula Rasa Jacket. Substitute the two new sleeve styles – a looser, shorter “Summer” sleeve and a graceful “Full” sleeve that gathers into a narrow cuff – for the original sleeve pattern. Add any of the five cuff styles – a band cuff, a turned-back cuff, a split turned-back cuff, a flaring bell cuff, and a lantern cuff – to any of the three sleeve styles to change the look of your next Tabula Rasa Jacket. Includes all sizes, XS-3XL.
