Rope Bowl Class BLUFFTON
Try this updated version of rope bowls! All it takes is rope, some fabric scraps, and different colors of thread. In class, you may choose to make one of two versions: with a fabric base, or using the decorative stitches on your machine. After learning the technique, let your creativity run wild! We will discuss other variations including embroidered, making place mats, coasters and small rugs, or changing the shape and size of the bowl & handles.
Sew Suite will provide machines for class.
Please bring the following to class:
- 100ft of 3/16" cotton rope
- Sewing machine in good, working order
- fabric scraps and thread of choice for rope bowl embellishment
-Sewing machine with zig zag stitch, in good working order or tryout one of our machines
-Thread to match or contrast with fabric colors (bring several colors)
-At least 3 empty bobbins
-Glue stick
-Seam ripper
-Pins
-Frixion Pen
-Scissors
-Scissors
-45mm Rotary cutter
