Beautiful Bindings by Machine: Tips & Tricks



Are you tired of being bamboozled by binding? Want some tips from quilters who have boundless binding experience? This class will help you polish your skills with an in-depth look at quilt binding. We will review every detail- from choosing the right size to cut your binding, which side of the quilt to apply it to, and how to secure it with as little pain as possible. This class mainly will cover single fold or French binding techniques.  

We also will be demonstrating a few tools to help your bindings come out just right every time!

Tools Required: 

  • Sewing machine in good, working order

  • Neutral color thread, 100% cotton
  • Rotary cutter

  • Rotary ruler approximately 6"x24"

  • Rotary mat

  • 1/4" piecing foot

Tools Suggested: 

  • Creative Grids Bias Binding Simplified Ruler 

  • Stitch in the Ditch Foot
